Media Studies Concentration

Media Studies majors develop valuable traditional radio and television broadcasting skills and cutting edge technology and media production skills. Students and alumni regularly win prestigious awards and recognition including: Academy Awards for Visual Effects, Emmys, and National Association of Broadcasters and Kansas Association of Broadcasters awards. Majors begin studio work as freshmen. Students interested in production have unique opportunities in new media animation, including motion picture production. Growth also exists in corporate, promotional, training, and communication video production. FHSU is a national leader in application of new media.

Alumni work at: NBC, CBS, ABC, PBS, CNN, Fox affiliates, video post productions, Honeywell, Steven Spielberg's Amblin Imaging, Eagle Communications, Cox Media and the New York Film Institute.
